My Story
I’ve always enjoyed playing with spreadsheets. There’s just something so satisfying about organizing data into columns and rows. But I didn’t realize it could become a career until was analyzing GL Out of Balances for a client of InsPro Technologies that I realized that I was genuinely good at pattern recognition. Then a coworker introduced me to SQL, and that was it — I was hooked!
What started as curiosity turned into a career built on finding problems before they find you. At Persante Health Care, I spent almost 4 years as the sole analyst supporting seven departments — automating over 30 manual reporting processes, rebuilding broken pipelines under pressure, and teaching myself new tools mid-project when the work required it. What I loved most wasn’t the automation itself, it was spotting a data quality issue three months before it became a crisis, quietly documenting it, and having the solution ready before anyone knew there was a problem.
That instinct to find it early, fix it right, and build it to last is what I bring to every engagement through Jess Hayden Consulting. I work with healthcare organizations to clean messy data, build HIPAA-compliant pipelines, and automate the reporting workflows that are quietly eating your team’s time.
Based in South Jersey, I’m available for remote consulting nationwide and open to select full-time opportunities in healthcare data analytics.
When I’m not analyzing data, you’ll find me cheering for the Phillies and the Eagles (even when they break my heart), playing clarinet — 30 years and counting, and escaping into fictional worlds when reality gets too much.
